THE INSTITUTE

The Indian Institute of Science and Information Technology (IISIT) is a premier IT school conceived in the year 1993. Born out of the Grace, Blessings and Guiding spirit of His Holiness Bhagawan Sri Sathya Sai Baba, the Institute ever since its inception has made learning pervasive in institutionalizing the system of Education. It draws its precedence from the Education System as exemplified by the Sri Sathya Sai Institute of Higher Learning.

IISIT a unit of Orissa Trust of Technical Education and Training (OTTET) is recognized by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) under Ministry of Human Resource Development, Govt. of India. It is the first and only Institute of the country to receive the assent of AICTE in the year 1994 for conducting the MCA programme.

The 3 Years Full Time MCA programme of IISIT is affiliated to Biju Patnaik University of Technology (BPUT) and has been planted and given the shape of beautiful tree to produce fragrant flowers and fruits.

IISIT is set with the objectives to impart intensive professional competence in emerging areas of IT with an orientation to permit moral, ethical & spiritual values in the system and culture of its education. As an elucidation of its past experience in the field of total education, the education design of IISIT as both Grand, Universal and Multifaceted has imparted intellect & interaction to develop education with the accent, pursuit and promotion to provide Human excellence, besides offering Tailor-made courses in emerging areas of Information Technology.

The Institute is dedicated to firm conviction that the faculty of computer science, will, through its non-conventional programme and committed faculty members, be yet another worthy addition to various faculties which are endeavouring ceaselessly to promote innovative Educational Programmes, experiences, values and ideals so dear to this Institute.

The students of IISIT represent a varied socio-economic background hailing from all pasts of India.

The Programme of IISIT, ever since its inception in 1993, has been observing the distinct feature of successful completion of its students. The Institute has to its credit to pride of consistently producing and experiencing 1st division degree holders, toppers, and the rank holders of the University. It continuously maintains this academic experience.

The Institute not only prepares students but also teachers. In pursuance of this continued experience in academics, the Institute encourages R & D to suit their interest.

The students who have so far complete the MCA programme here are suitable absorbed in various prestigious organizations in India and abroad. There is no such organization of repute in IT profession where IISITIANs are not present.
